Visibility & Publishing

Use visibility, ratings, downloads, tags, and save controls to decide how a character is discovered and shared.

These settings control how people find the character, how you share it, and what becomes harder to change later.

Public

  • Normal discovery and public access.

Use this when you want the character to appear in the usual public flow.

Unlisted

  • Hidden from ordinary discovery.
  • Shared through the tokenized unlisted link.

Use this when you want something shareable without opening it to broad discovery.

Private

  • Not publicly accessible.
  • Can also be forced private by the system when a character violates the Community Guidelines.
  • In update flows, some private and delete actions are restricted once a character passes the existing message threshold.

Use this when the character is still personal, unfinished, or not meant for public use at all.

NSFW

  • Rating toggle for the character.
  • In some cases the app may force-mark a character as NSFW and prevent you from toggling it back directly.

Treat this as part of how the character is presented and filtered, not just as an afterthought.

Downloadable

  • Lets other users export the character.
  • Creators can still download their own work regardless.

Tags

Studio stages tagging through a selection modal during create and update flows.

Use tags to improve:

  • discovery
  • rating and warning clarity
  • series and character grouping

Save, Reset, and Delete

Create Flow

  • Create opens tag selection before the character is finally saved.
  • Draft state can be restored locally while you are working.

Update Flow

  • Save writes form changes and staged tags.
  • Reset throws away unsaved edits.
  • Delete is only available when the character can still be removed under the current rules.

Restrictions to Keep in Mind

As characters become older or more heavily used, some update actions can become unavailable.

That is why it is worth deciding early:

  • whether you want full discovery
  • whether downloads should be enabled
  • whether the character is still safe to share widely
