Character Panel & History

The chat screen has two different navigation surfaces:

• the left chat list for your general recents
• the character panel for this character's info, discovery, history, and settings

If you make multiple chats from the same character, the most important thing to know is this:

• the left side list shows your overall recents
• the History tab shows other chats with this same character

How to Open It

On desktop:

• click the square sidebar button at the far right of the chat header to open the persistent right sidepane
• click the gear to jump straight to the Settings tab in that sidepane
• click the character avatar or name when you want the character panel as a separate sheet instead

On mobile:

• tap the character avatar or name to open the character sheet
• tap the gear to open Settings
• there is no persistent right sidepane on smaller screens

The Tabs at a Glance

• Info is the quick character view: actions, written setup, and comments
• Explore is where similar characters live
• History is where you find your other chats with this same character
• Settings is where conversation settings and user-wide chat preferences live

The Settings tab only appears when you are inside an active chat.

Info

The Info tab is the fastest overview of the current character.

You can use it for:

• New Chat when you want a fresh conversation with the same character
• Like, Share, and download actions when available
• reading the tagline, greeting, and tags again without leaving chat
• checking the comments section at the bottom

If you want to restart cleanly without losing the current thread, New Chat is the right action.

Explore

The Explore tab is for discovery around the current character.

It shows:

• similar characters
• nearby alternatives when the current one is close but not quite right

Use this when you like the general premise or tone but want another version quickly.

History

The History tab is the answer when you have made multiple chats with one character and can no longer tell where they went.

It gives you:

• other chats with this same character
• search
• sorting by recent, oldest, or most messages
• rename and delete actions for older threads

Use History when:

• you started several branches with one character
• you want to return to an older version of the conversation
• you want to keep multiple threads for different scenarios

Settings

The Settings tab collects the controls that shape the current conversation and your broader chat preferences.

The page is split into two groups:

• Chat Settings for this conversation only
• User Settings for preferences that normally apply across chats
